Why we do what we do
ForReal Team is an experience design studio. Together we try to create new and exciting platforms that connect the virtual and the actual. We Master a variety of cutting edge technologies and mould them into enticing concepts in order to create tailor made experiences.
Through mobile apps, interactive installations, new media art and other shenanigans we hope to plant a thought, tap into inherent curiosity, entice wild creativity and engage an audience.
Our work ranges from the artistic through commercial all the way till plain old fun.
We initiate our own project while we’re always up for challenging commissions. We work with advertising agencies, cultural institutions, Science museums, municipalities, galleries as well as academic institutions and enjoy collaborating with other great minds.
ForReal Team is a unique combination and synergistic collaboration of the two Studio Founders. Coming from different backgrounds, points of view and ways of going about stuff they make a whole bigger than their summed up abilities.
Zvika Markfeld – A Maker, robotics engineer and coding poet working at the intersection of physical computing, robotics and interactive art. He is Tech Lead at monday.com's makers team. Earlier in his career, he built robotic, kinetic and interactive works for artists, studios and companies, and taught interaction and physical computing at MiLab (the Media Innovation Lab, Reichman University), Bezalel's Design and Technology masters track, and the Musrara School of Art. He co-founded JerusaLab, the interaction lab at Musrara, and continues to mentor physical computing and microcontrollers for companies, hobbyists and professionals alike. His work includes DoppelGanger, submitted to Google's DevArt challenge, the SMS-responsive LetraSet neon sign above Hansen House, and Stoney 1.0, a robot that tends a gallery grave.
Saron Paz – A new media artist, experience designer and curator whose practice sits at the meeting point of technology, material and public space, turning passers-by into participants and animating everyday objects until they seem to feel. He has exhibited internationally and produced permanent public works across Israel, including HexagonShifters in Haifa, SimonSays in Kiryat Gat, and Point of View — twin lighthouse sculptures linking San Francisco and Haifa in real time. As a curator, he grew Jerusalem Design Week into Israel's largest annual design festival, and curated both the Jerusalem Mini Maker Faire and the Musrara Mix Art Festival. Until recently, he was Team Lead at monday.com's makers team, having previously served as CIO (Chief Innovation Officer) of MakeLab Network, participating in founding maker and innovation centres in Nigeria and Ghana.
Together they focus on the combination of creativity, technology & experience and creates work ranging from interactive installations (for museums, municipalities and events), innovation and maker’s educational programs (for high tech companies, universities and educational institutions) and developing creative technology kits.
